Unlike, plexiglass, Lexan will not crack or break over time. Carlson doors are the only patented, truly insulated household pet doors on the market, maintaining a 30 degree indoor, outdoor temperature difference even in extreme weather conditions. Carlson doors are built with safety in mind, with no rivets screw or bolts on our flaps, there are fewer parts that can snag on hair and cause discomfort or injury to your pet. All Carlson Pro Pets Pet doors are simple to install and include all hardware necessary for installation along with a detailed instructions, an installation template and a link to our installation video to guide you through the process. To select the appropriate size for your pet, measure the widest area of your pet and add a minimum of 1″. This will be the minimum width required for your pet. Measure the highest area of your pet at the shoulders and record this dimension. Measure your pet at the lowest point of their belly and subtract this dimension from the height. Add 3″ to this dimension and this will be the minimum height required for your pet. If your pet is still growing, remember to consider the size of the breed when full grown.
